In the pot tonight...

...spaghetti! This is really my ultimate comfort food. I think because it was one of the staples of our house growing up. It is the boys' favorite too and since they are up to some "real" food after a week of being sick I made a monster sized batch today. And it felt so productive to do something other than clean up vomit. I'm going to freeze most of the sauce for later though. I added diced carrots, celery, red bell peppers and zucchini. No one ever notices all those veggies hidden in there. [Have I ever mentioned this was the best gift I got for my 30th birthday?]

I agree, love spaghetti! I'm glad you love the pot, I love cooking sauces, chili, soups, etc. in my Le Creuset pots. I did Pot Roast in mine last week; I love it because it can go from the stovetop to the oven. Diversity in cooking supplies is a great thing!

Okay girls, tell me that you got that while April had her wonderful discount. That is a pricey pot. I am sure it is worth its weight in gold. However, my Mimi's spaghetti sauce turns out awesome in any pot. Well, I guess I am just jealous. xoxoxo

Yes- I agree- there is nothing magical about this pot, but it is really heavy, so you can simmer things forever without them burning and of course the color is gorgeous. And it is a french classic! Plus, I'm a little sentimental about it since it was from my sissy during what we call fondly "the wil-so years". Those were good times- right sis?
